Accelerate Women’s Conference

Event Branding | Marketing Collateral | Illustration

The Accelerate Women’s Conference was an inaugural event hosted by the Microsoft Azure Hardware Systems and Infrastructure communications team. As the Senior Visual Designer, I developed the key art for the event and designed a wide range of marketing collateral, including SharePoint webpages, Teams banners, newsletter reminders, marketing posters, Eventify registration websites, and event schedule signage. Additionally, I collaborated closely with the comms team to write content, generate discussion topics, and design the keynote presentation.

Digital Marketing

In a hybrid workplace, digital marketing is crucial in spreading employee awareness of events. For all marketing channels, I strategically utilized the attention-grabbing key art for this event in consistent ways to promote recognition. The theme for this year’s Women’s Conference dealt with offering women in technology concrete steps toward leadership. My goal was to abstractly capture this concept with the idea of “building” and “stepping blocks”. The geometric shapes of the key art are based in a deconstructed AHSI icon (see the Microsoft Azure project), giving the impression of a work-in-progress. I also wanted to imply upward trajectory with these shapes to communicate an aspirational feel.

SharePoint Website Design

This conference was a large endeavor requiring coordination between teams across the U.S. and in Taiwan and India. With so many moving pieces, it was vitally important to have a detailed source of truth for both attendees and coordinators. I designed custom SharePoint pages for the U.S. and international events to capture all details in a clear and visually compelling way. I continually updated this website with new details to generate traffic and increase anticipation for the event.

Print Poster Marketing

While most event marketing was digital, the AHSI Communications team also wanted to encourage excitement in-office. This poster design was advertised in AHSI office hallways, elevators, and other locations to further event recognition.

Event Site Schedule Design

This event schedule was displayed in the lobby of the conference center to inform attendees about the event flow.
